What do successful people do to achieve greatness?

Is there really a secret formula to success? Is there a shortcut or some kind of magical way to be a millionaire in a short amount of time? Well, I am sorry to disappoint you, this is not what you think it is. I am going to tell you about the habits and things that successful people have been doing for a long time to achieve their goals.
  1. They don't stop learning
Learning is not and shouldn't be related to academia. We shouldn't stop learning because we got the job or because we finished university. The brightest and successful people are always learning, there is endless knowledge. There are so many resources nowadays where you can find courses on everything you want to learn at the touch of a button.
  2. Deprioritize opportunities which don't fit with your goals
To achieve more, you need to set your goals straight. Some opportunities will appear tempting to you, and you would like to take all your chances. Well, this will slow you down and ultimately you will be losing sight of your goals. You need to believe in your mission and whatever it is that you are seeking and to stick to the one thing, commit and give yourself the time to see the outcomes.
  3. Pick three important tasks every day and do them very well
Successful people aren't necessarily people who achieve more or people who are always "busy". Successful people have focus, and they firmly believe that to be productive but also effective you need to tackle at least three most important tasks every day. If your most important task is responding to emails, do that and do it before any other task.
  4. Embrace failure and try again every time
People don't follow their aspirations in life because they are terrified that people will judge them, they are afraid to look stupid and they are afraid to make decisions, and they are mostly afraid to fail. So instead of taking action people "including me" we tend to do nothing instead. We are simply avoiding the pain that comes with change, the pain of being in a discomfort place. Failure prevents us from doing things that we really want to do in life. So go and master the art of failure, it is the greatest teacher.
  5. Be consistent
I think consistency is the most important thing, that you should do if you want to pursue your dreams. Any worthwhile challenging goal or dream requires sustainable effort. Starting something for the first time and doing it for 2 or 3 days is not that hard, but committing to do that for the long run is not that easy. You must put in mind to reach that goal you need to put on the work and you need to do it every day.
  6. Listen Well
Be genuinely interested in other people's opinions, listen to your customer's complaints and to your employee's ideas. We tend to always talk and have less time to sit and listen. As Stephen Covey said,
"Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply". Listen actively, be genuine, understand what the person is trying to tell you, you may find solutions to your problems, or you may get inspired to create new things. Always listen.
  7. Never complain
Successful people don't complain. They see complains as an opportunity to create a solution. These game-changers are always optimistic about the future and they are always seeking to solve people's problems. Let others complain, and make the difference.
  8. Read a lot
Do you know what is the most favorite activity of Warren Buffet? Yes, you are right, he reads a LOT! If you create the habit of reading at least 20 pages daily, that is equal to roughly 36 books a year of knowledge! Start reading
  9. Hang out with successful people
We keep hearing the saying "you are as good as the company you keep". It is true when you surround yourself with successful, optimistic, hardworking people, you will start acting like them. Have an accountability friend or family member, to keep you motivated. Get rid of the people that drain your energy and fill your life with negativity and misery.
 10. Stay healthy
Create the habit of eating healthy, not constantly being on a diet. Find a physical activity that you like and do it at least 3 times a week. By keeping your body healthy, your mind will be healthy as well.
